At la JAQUETTE the animal cause is one of our priorities.
Regular donations
For each order placed, we donate 1 EUR for the protection of animals in France.
In December 2020 thanks to you and your orders we were able to make a donation to the association "Chats des Rues" which helps to feed the rescued cats as well
to provide them with the necessary care.

Some figures
In France, 100,000 pets are abandoned each year.
In 2018, the SPA counts a third more abandonments. This figure has increased by 20% for cats and 6.5% for dogs in just 3 years.
It is estimated that approximately 12 animals are abandoned every hour.
How to support the animal cause on a small scale
If you are unable to donate to an association due to lack of funds, there are other solutions available to you.
You can volunteer for an association that is close to your heart. Many associations are looking for volunteers who have an immense love for animals. Because the number of abandonments increases every year, the more people who volunteer, the more volunteers there will be to take care of the animals!
You should consider adopting from shelters instead of buying an animal on your own. Indeed, shelters are full of animals that are just waiting to find a loving family to continue their lives with people who will take care of them.

An animal is not a toy
Many of the abandonment cases that have been reported involve people who have taken in an animal without thinking it through. A new animal in the family is a member of the family. So think about the reasons why you want to have an animal, it must be a decision
carefully considered.
If you feel ready and feel you have enough love to give, head to your nearest shelter and adopt!
