Upcycling: What is it?

Upcycling is a trendy eco-responsible system that allows to give a second life to an object, a garment, a fabric by reinventing it and reusing it to make a new product.

This system is more and more widespread, the rise of thrift stores in France is a witness of it, the DIY and all these trends in which we transform a garment.

The fashion industry wants to reduce its waste and wastage, accentuated by fast fashion. Thus, upcycling is becoming a way to produce without impacting the planet, just like recycling.

La Jaquette produces its jackets with this upcycling principle in mind. The blazers of our brand are made with scraps of fabrics from unused French sewing houses. We can then create unique, but quality blazers.

For our brand, upcycling is a principle that adds value to our products, and allows us to place ourselves in the circle of so-called eco-responsible brands. La Jaquette wants to offer you products that are up to date with your expectations.

So don't hesitate, join the upcycling movement with La Jaquette !
